Creative Guest Book Ideas

Guest books are a wonderful keepsake to remember your special day and all your friends and family who came to celebrate with you. However, a traditional guest book may be tucked away in a box somewhere and forgotten, and that’s sad! Today we’re sharing a few ways to turn the guestbook tradition into something a little more fun, and something that can have a prominent place in your home!

1. A Photo Book

While this is somewhat similar to the traditional guest book, the photos make it a bit more fun! Have your guests sign in the margin, and show off your engagement photos at the same time. After the wedding, this will be a fun coffee table book. My sister did this for her wedding, and I thought it was precious! You can easily make a photobook on Shutterfly!

2. An Autographed Photo

This one makes a great keepsake! Have a giant photo mat board (white works best!) available for guests to sign at the reception. Then, plan to have a photo taken of the whole group (guests and all!) with the bride & groom in front, and frame the photo with the matting signed by your guests. Hang it in your new home!

3. Get Crafty

I recently attended a wedding where we signed scraps of fabric to be made into a quilt! If you have a family member that knows how to quilt, this is a great, useful option!

4. Go Rustic

Another option that makes a great home decor item is a wooden guest book. This is a large piece of wood that your guests can sign at the reception, and you can hang it in your home after! You can find these on Etsy, and they are a great addition to a shabby-chic wedding.

5. It’s Puzzling

One fun option is having guests sign pieces of a jigsaw puzzle! This can be framed and placed on the wall after the wedding as well. Once again, you can find personalized blank puzzles on Etsy!

6. Utilize the Photobooth

Photobooths are a fun addition to any reception, and are a great way to make a DIY guestbook! Have guests take Polaroids and sign the bottom, then compile them into a photo album after the ceremony. This is fun because your guests get to have a bigger part than just signing their names- they get to take a fun photo as well!

Hopefully one of these ideas will be perfect for your celebration! If you have any other unique guestbook ideas, please let us know in the comments!
