Summer Wedding Style Guide

Let me introduce myself! My name is Kristen Moss, and I am the new “What A Day Writer”! Denise and I used the same web designer, Henderson from Bella-B, and shortly after the launch of my blog, K.Moss Lifestyle, Denise reached out to have me guest post for What A Day Weddings. I’m so excited to be able to share my thoughts on wedding trends, guest etiquette, gift-giving, and more with all of you. I hope you enjoy!

Summer is a busy season for wedding planners and wedding-goers alike! Many of us will be guests at multiple weddings this summer, and it may be difficult to find affordable yet appropriate attire to wear to each ceremony. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite picks for summer weddings, plus a few guidelines for those of us who maybe haven’t attended too many weddings and aren’t sure where to start! The image below is shoppable, so just click on any item for more details!

First things first, I tried to keep everything around/under $100. While I do believe in quality, I also know that you can find great deals if you just search long enough! Plus,  I can’t blow my entire month’s shopping budget on one item of clothing!
I’m a big fan of the simple and classic styles. Depending on the dress code, you may want to go a bit more formal, but if you’re attending an outdoor or early afternoon wedding, you can get away with something a little more fun! I would also recommend keeping it conservative. Weddings are not the time for low-cut necklines, short hems, or cutouts. Considering that off-the-shoulder is such a big trend, I think that’s okay for a more casual wedding!
For a more formal event, opt for a structured, tailored option, such as the Vineyard Vines fit & flare option, or the Topshop pencil dress. For an outdoor event, keep it cool and breezy, with an off-the-shoulder look or a nice maxi dress! All of these are great options for a summer wedding or bridal shower! Which option is your favorite?
